Eurocell reports strong 2021

by George Lewis

Vertically integrated UK manufacturer, recycler and distributor of window, door, and roofline PVC-U products Eurocell has reported strong sales across the year, reflecting continued good levels of underlying trade and consumer demand for its products.

Sales of both extruded profiles and building plastics have grown over the past twelve months as the repair, maintenance and improvement market, house building, and consumer-driven outdoor living trends have continued to fuel demand for the company’s products.

Other 2021 highlights showcased the company’s commitment to a sustainable future, as well as the allocation of significant investment that has expanded current warehouse and manufacturing capacity to better support fabricators and installers in the future.

Green Economy Mark

In addition to strong sales growth, the company also reports that it has proudly received the London Stock Exchange’s Green Economy Mark. It is awarded to companies that derive more than 50% of their revenues from environmental solutions and reflects contributions to the global green economy.

New warehouse and manufacturing facility

The completion of the company’s warehouse in Alfreton was said to be another milestone for the business. Central to increasing capacity, the facility will be key to delivering further improvements in operational efficiencies and will help to expand manufacturing extrusion capacity.

Mark Kelly, CEO for Eurocell, commented: “The positive sales trends for profiles and building plastics have continued through the year which has reflected good underlying demand in our markets.

“We are taking effective action to mitigate ongoing cost inflation and current supply chain pressures.  As a result, we are on track to deliver profit before tax for the full year in line with market expectations.

“It is also welcome to see that our long-term commitment to creating sustainable product solutions has been recognised with the prestigious London Stock Exchange Green Economy Award.

“It is further evidence that we continue to lead our sector when it comes to understanding and delivering on our environmental responsibilities.

“Finally, the successful opening of our expanded warehouse and manufacturing facility is great news for our nationwide network of fabricators and installers.

“We are now even better placed to meet market demands and work with the trade to support them as they secure enhanced business building opportunities.”
