Family fabricator Stedek celebrates 30th birthday

Stedek, a long-standing family business and proud purveyor of The Residence Collection and Aluplast, is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The company was founded in Walsall by friends Steve and Derek, who met while working at a local window fabricator. In 1994 they struck out on their own, and Stedek was born. The pair worked together for many years, laying the foundations for Stedek’s future success.

When Derek left to pursue new challenges, Steve ran the business as Managing Director until 2016, when he handed his responsibilities to his children, Emily and Alex Page. By the time they took the reins, both had already absorbed the Stedek philosophy, and were ready for the challenge.

Alex explains: “The business dad handed over to us had a very clear set of values. Quality is everything. Attention to detail is paramount. We simply took what he’d started and modernised it – bringing in even more great products, and working to maintain the same great service.”

It was around that time that Stedek began offering the range it would become most closely associated with – The Residence Collection. In the years that followed, Stedek developed what it came to call Residence Excellence – R9, R7 and R2 windows made with uncompromising care and attention, and a laser-like focus on the details.

Alex continued: “Today, the Stedek range is bigger than it’s ever been. As The Residence Collection has continued to expand, we’ve expanded with them – we now offer their complete suite of windows, and are in the process of adding another new Residence door to the offering.

“On the PVCu front, we’re proud to partner with Aluplast, another excellent supplier, and we’ve seen strong demand for their products, especially their flush sash windows. The future will bring challenges – it always does – but we’re fully confident that Stedek will rise to them, and continue striving to become Britain’s most quality-focused fabricator.”
