DoorCo continued its commitment to promoting wellbeing through its monthly calendar of events in June, with a focus on LGBTQ+ rights, race, gender equality, disabilities, neurodiversity, and cultural diversity.
Maili Lavin-Bailey, DoorCo’s Marketing Communications Executive, said: “DoorCo is halfway through its first annual wellbeing calendar, where each month we focus on a specific theme in a bid to enhance the welfare of our team.
“June was all about Diversity. To celebrate Pride month we focused on LGBQT+ rights and one of the highlights was our Pride and Diversity door, now proudly displayed in our reception area. The colourful and welcoming door greets every employee and visitor, radiating our support for the LGBTQ+ community and showcasing our dedication to creating an inclusive environment for all. It’s a daily reminder of our commitment to diversity, painted with pride and positivity.
“As well as LGBQT+ rights we talked about race, gender equality, disabilities, neurodiversity, and cultural diversity, sharing free resources on our Compass internal comms system and displaying signs throughout the business. These resources provide valuable information and insights on various aspects of diversity, helping to educate and inform our team about the importance of inclusion and the different ways we can support each other.
“Additionally, we initiated the process of including pronouns to our email signatures. This addition is completely optional, giving employees the choice to share their pronouns and promote a culture of respect and understanding. It’s a simple yet impactful way to ensure everyone’s identity is acknowledged and respected.
